DAILY UPDATE: Resolved early cases leads to sharp drop in COVID-19 in Brampton, Mississauga Catholic schools on Sept. 30

Active student COVID-19 cases in Brampton and Mississauga Catholic schools fell by 38 per cent overnight.
The sharp drop comes as a result of cases reported early in the year being resolved, quarantined students returning to school and classrooms being reopened.
The board currently has 53 active student cases of COVID-19, down from 85, three staff cases, down from 8, 10 probable cases, down from 19, and 59 closed classrooms, down from 104 the previous day.
Three news schools reported cases overnight and there are currently 41 schools still reporting at least one active or probable case of COVID-19. Fifteen schools were cleared from the list overnight.
A closed classroom means the children from that class are sent home to learn remotely during a quarantine period of at least 10 days.
