The COVID-19 situation at public schools in Oakville, Milton, Burlington and Halton Hills remained unchanged on Oct. 22.

There are still 8 confirmed cases of COVID-19 at Halton District School Board facilities.

The two cases as Oodenawi Public School, however, are now considered an outbreak by Halton Public Health.

An outbreak is declared when it’s likely the transmission of an infection happened at the school or on school transportation.

A classroom is considered closed when the teacher and students have to spend at least 10 days quarantining at home and learning online.

As cases are resolved, schools will come off the report.

Here’s a list of schools currently reporting at least one COVID-19 case:

Elementary

  • Anne J. MacArthur: 2 students
  • Joshua Creek: 1 student
  • Maple Grove: 1 student
  • Oodenawi: 2 students
  • Tiger Jeet Singh: 1 staff, 1 class closed
