Cyclist sent to Hamilton hospital with life-threatening injuries after collision with motor vehicle

A cyclist was transported to hospital with life-threatening injuries after colliding with a motor vehicle in Hamilton. 

The incident occurred shortly before 2 p.m. on Thursday (July 22) at the intersection of Bay and Jackson St. 

Police say the vehicle was stopped to make a left turn on Jackson while a cyclist was travelling in the bike lane.

The cyclist collided with the vehicle, sending the man to hospital. 

The Collision Reconstruction Unit (CRU) has taken over the investigation and is asking for witnesses to contact police.
