Cyclist in hospital after collision with car in Mississauga

A cyclist is in hospital following a collision with a car in Mississauga.
The cyclist was travelling near Mavis Rd and Novo Star Dr, a residential area in Meadowvale, when he was struck by a car. The vehicle remain on scene after the crash.
Police responded to the scene shortly before 4 p.m. The cyclist was taken to a local trauma-centre.
The southbound lane of Mavis Rd remain closed down to Derry Rd until further notice. Police advise drivers to take alternate routes.
