Update: Cyclist in hospital after colliding with a car in Brampton

Peel Regional police have confirmed the cyclist remain in critical condition following the crash. Both lanes of Peter Robertson Blvd remain closed between Dandelion Rd and Dusty Star Rd, a very short length of road.

A cyclist is in Brampton has been rushed to hospital after a collision with a car on Friday (Sept. 2).

Peel Regional Police say officers were called to the area of Sunny Meadow Blvd. and Peter Robertson Blvd. in Brampton around 2:20 p.m. for reports of a crash. When emergency crews arrived on scene, police say they found an adult male cyclist had collided with a car.

The cyclist was transported to a local trauma centre, and the driver of the vehicle remained at the scene.

Police did not release details on the male cyclist’s injuries.

Peter Robertson Blvd. has been closed between Sunny Meadow Blvd. and Bramalea Rd. while police investigate the incident.

Drivers should avoid the area if possible and find alternate routes.
