Cyclist found dead near roadway in Hamilton

A person was found dead near a roadway in Ancaster, Hamilton, on Tuesday afternoon.

Hamilton Police say officers were called to the area of Powerline Road West and Bethel Church Road after a body was discovered.

Investigators believe the individual had been cycling westbound on Powerline Road before the incident.

Additional information about the person has not been released by the police, including their age, whether they were male or female, and place of residence.

Police say the circumstances surrounding the death remain unknown and the investigation is ongoing.
