Crews scramble to fix six broken watermains in St. Catharines

City water crews are scrambling to repair six different broken watermains in north St. Catharines this morning (June 15).

The affected area is stretches up to Lake Ontario and is bordered by Linwell Road, Niagara Street and Read Road.

The city is telling residents in that large tract of land that they could be disruption in their water supply, as well as a significant decrease in water pressure.

They are also asking that residents refrain from non-essential water use such as washing their cars or watering their lawns.

It is expect all six mains will be repaired by noon, if not earlier. Below is the affected area.
