Crews on scene at Brampton housefire

Fire crews have just left the scene of a house fire in Brampton after quickly knocking down the blaze.

Brampton Fire and Emergency Services announced the blaze was active shortly after 6 p.m. on September 28. The fire broke out in a suburban home near Steeles Ave W and Windmill Blvd.

Crews reported shortly afterward that they had contained the blaze and searched the property. They reported no injuries from the fire. At the time crews were hanging back to ensure the blaze was fully extinguished.

The firefighters released another update about the fire. The commander on the scene declared loss from the fire had stopped. Fire trucks were clearing the area shortly before 7:30.

However,28 investigators remain on the scene while they investigate the source of the blaze.
