An investigation is underway following a fire in a Brampton neighbourhood this morning (Oct. 5).

Just after 10 a.m. on Thursday Brampton Fire and Emergency Services (BFES) says emergency crews were called to the area of Mavis Road and Ray Lawson Boulevard for reports of a fire.

A photo from the scene shared by BFES shows a fire truck and a police cruiser parked on a residential street, with yellow caution tape blocking off a portion of the road.

No injuries have been reported and BFES says the fire is under control, adding that the cause of the blaze is still under investigation.

Parts of Falstaff Drive and Yuile Court have been closed while emergency crews are on the scene and drivers are being asked to avoid the area and find alternate routes if possible.
