Fire crews battled a blaze at a commercial building near Pearson Airport in Mississauga early this morning.

Crews were called to the building at 2437 Anson Dr., after alarms went off around 2:20 a.m. today (Dec. 1), Mississauga Fire and Emergency Services tells insauga.com.

When fire crews arrived they found smoke and upgraded the call to a second-alarm fire.

But the building’s sprinkler system had the blaze under control. Crews worked to clear the smoke.

As of 7 a.m., there was still one crew on scene along with the fire investigator.

There was no one in the building at the time and no injuries were reported, Mississauga Fire says.

There is no word on the extent of the damage or the cause of the fire.

The building at 2437 Anson Dr., located near Torbram Road and Derry Road, appears to be a one-storey brick building home to industrial-type businesses.
