Credit union robbers remain at large in Pickering

Two unidentified men who robbed a Pickering credit union last night remain at large.

The pair entered a Meridian Credit Union Kingston Rd. shortly before 7 p.m. December 8. Both men brandished handguns and demanded cash from the employees.

They then forced all the employees into the credit union’s vault. The robbers grabbed an unknown amount of cash and fled the scene. None of the employees was physically hurt during the robbery.

Durham Regional Police responded shortly afterward and launched an investigation. They describe the first suspect as Black and about six-foot tall. He was wearing a black tracksuit, black shoes, a construction vest and a balaclava.

The second man is described as Black and about 5-foot-8 tall. He was wearing faded black jeans, red and white Jordan shoes, a dark sweater, a construction vest and a ski mask.
