Starting this Wednesday, comic lovers in Mississauga can wrap themselves up even more in the hobby they love as the annual Mississauga Comic Expo (MCX) hits town for 17 days.

Running Oct. 6-23, the MCX is a fully virtual convention with numerous events taking place over the two-plus weeks of action.

Hosted by the Mississauga Library, the family friendly, all-ages event celebrates the diverse culture of comics, gaming, anime, cosplay and more, organizers say.

Admission is free with registration.

This year’s expo features well-known comic artists and authors such as Aminder Dhaliwal, Stephanie Cooke, Sanya Anwar, Ho Che Anderson and Ryan North.

Sketch challenges with Adam Gorman, Jenn St.-Onge, Joy San, Megan Huang, Meaghan Carter and Paris Alleyne are also on tap.

Here’s a quick rundown of events:

  • author talks (Oct. 6, 13, 20, 22, 23)
