The crash was reported in the northbound lanes of the highway at Dixon Road/Airport Road today (July 11) around 5:45 a.m., according to Ontario 511.

News reports indicate it was a multi-vehicle crash.

Pearson Airport noted a “multi-vehicle collision on the 427 is causing heavy traffic delays in the northbound lanes.”

“If you’re flying or picking up loved ones, we recommend giving yourself some extra time to get to the airport, consider using alternative routes or public transit,” the airport said on X.

The left shoulder and two left lanes were closed.

By 8 a.m., all lanes had reopened but traffic was still moving slowly through the area.
