Whitby crash inflicts 'life-altering' injuries on 17-year-old boy
An SUV hit a teenage boy on his motorcycle and inflicted 'life-altering' injuries.

A teenager from Whitby suffered injuries Durham Regional Police describe as “life-altering” after he was struck by an SUV last Friday.

Around 5 p.m. May 20 the teen, 17, was driving his motorcycle at 380 Taunton Rd E, home to Sinclair Secondary School. He then struck an SUV inflicting major injuries.

First responders arrived and rushed the teenager to a Toronto trauma centre. The SUV driver was unharmed and remained on scene to cooperate with the police investigation.

The Collision Investigation Unit closed down area roads for several hours to collect evidence.
