Mississauga is getting a Craig’s Cookies location.
The Canadian chain founded by Craig Pike features fresh-baked cookies in unique flavours. The first brick-and-mortar shop opened in Toronto’s Parkdale neighbourhood in 2018.
The thick cookies come in flavours such as Kinder Bueno, Toblerone, Pop Tart and Pecan Butter Tart.
Craig’s Cookie shops have popped up across the city, and expanded to Brampton, Burlington, Niagara Region, Hamilton and across Canada to Alberta and Newfoundland.
And now the first location is slated to open in Port Credit, a Craig’s Cookies spokesperson confirmed.
“Craig’s Cookies’ 25th location in the lovely Port Credit is a franchise-owned store owned and operated by new franchisee Imtiaz Hussai,” the spokesperson said in an email to INsauga.com. “The opening date has not been finalized yet, but we hope to be serving the best cookies on earth, very soon!”
The shop will be located at 102 Lakeshore Rd. E., east of Elizabeth Street.
The community is excited, but nervous about a new choice for sweet treats.
“Oh, this is good news for my sweet tooth and bad news for my figure,” one person said in the Port Credit Life Facebook group.
“I’m really mad about it because I’m going to get fat! lol,” another said.
