COVID-19 outbreaks reported at three Milton facilities

COVID-19 is still making its presence felt in Milton.

Halton Region reports there are currently three outbreaks in town affecting those in assisted living facilities.

The outbreaks have been contained to specific areas of Allendale Long Term Care Home and Seasons Retirement Home. The third is listed at a congregate living facility (where people live together such as a shelter or group home) that hasn’t been identified.

In total Milton has 58 new cases of COVID-19 and across Halton Region, that number is 208. In all of Halton, 22 people are hospitalized with COVID symptoms.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, there have been 14,881 official cases of COVID-19 and 82 reported deaths.
