Two elementary schools in Brampton are now considered to have an outbreak of COVID-19 as defined by the province.

Harold F. Loughin Public School reported five active COVID-19 cases today and three classrooms closed.

Our Lady of Providence Catholic elementary school has two ongoing cases and one classroom closed.

What elevates those two schools to the level of being considered an outbreak is that at least two students, staff or visitors report COVID-19 within 14 days and at least one of the infected people is likely to have been infected in the school, including transportation and extra-curricular activities.
