An Oakville school has an outbreak of COVID-19 declared by Halton Public Health.

Oodenawi Public School has two active cases of coronavirus among students. Despite the outbreak, currently no classrooms are closed at the school.

Halton Public Health declares an outbreak when it’s probable that a case was passed from person to person at the location or during school transportation.

There are currently eight confirmed cases of COVID-19 at Halton District School Board facilities in Burlington, Oakville, Milton and Halton Hills.

A classroom is considered closed when the teacher and students have to spend at least 10 days quarantining at home and learning online.
