After a slightly worrisome week in which many of the COVID-19 numbers spiked most viral indicators plunged back into the safe zone for the September 4-10 period.

New cases dropped to 301 from 360, hospitalization numbers fell from 48 to 35 (there are three in ICU, one more than the previous week), the weekly incidence rate went down dramatically from 49.1 per 100,000 to 41 and the per cent positivity rate went from 9.8 per cent to 8.8 per cent.

Outbreaks at long term care homes, retirement centres and hospitals fell to 11 from 19. Three of those outbreaks in the previous outbreaks were in hospitals. Last week there zero hospital outbreaks, which is definitely positive news.
