COVID-19 cases reported at 62 public schools in Mississauga, Brampton, and Caledon

The Peel District School Board (PDSB) is reporting 87 COVID-19 cases in schools in Mississauga, Brampton, and Caledon.

As of Thursday (December 16), 62 schools have confirmed students or staff have contracted at least one case of the virus. Of these, 53 are elementary schools, while nine are public schools.

Peel Public Health has declared outbreaks at three PDSB schools, including Dixie Public School in Mississauga, Robert H. Lagerquist Public School in Brampton, and Tomken Road Middle School in Mississauga.

Additionally, Edenrose Public School, Lisgar Middle School, Robert H. Lagerquist Public School, and Vista Heights Public School have all been closed to mitigate the spread of the virus.
