COVID-19 cases dropping daily in Niagara Region

Day-by-day, the new cases of COVID-19 in the Niagara Region are slowly dropping.

While Saturday, July 10, saw seven new cases, that dropped to six by Sunday.

Today at noon, Niagara Health reported just five new cases.

And with seven existing cases being resolved so far today (July 12), more residents are getting over it than are getting it period. There are presently just 83 active cases in the entire region.

July 6 was the low-water mark for the region when just two new cases were reported while April 5 was the worst day of the year with 220 new cases.

At this point, 415 Niagara Region residents have died since the pandemic began in March 2020.
