With 43 news cases of COVID-19 over the weekend, Niagara Region’s ongoing cases are quickly rising to just under 200, a height not seen since the beginning of November.

While Saturday (November 27) saw just 14 new cases, that more than doubled to 29 on Sunday, pushing the region up to 195 ongoing cases.

St Catharines continues to carry the majority of the cases with 74 ongoing while it’s a big drop to second with Niagara Falls and Welland both sitting at 21 cases apiece.

From there, Fort Erie is registering 17 cases with both Niagara-on-the-Lake and Lincoln at 12 each. Pelham is sitting with 11.

The five remaining municipalities range from a low of one case in West Lincoln to eight in Thorold.
