COVID-19 cases double at Brampton, Mississauga Catholic schools: Sept. 20

The number of COVID-19 cases in Brampton and Mississauga Catholic schools basically doubled since Thursday.

Since the report at the end of the day on Sept. 16, the number of student cases has jumped from 24 to 47, staff cases rose from 5 to 7 and closed classrooms doubled from 35 to 70.

Since most classes have between 20 and 30 students, that’s somewhere between 140 to more than 200 kids who will spend 10 days learning from home while quarantining.

A total of 45 schools have been affected by COVID-19, up from 27 schools last week.

Here is a list of schools that currently have at least one ongoing case:
