COVID-19 case reported this week at Hamilton grocery store

Sobeys is reporting a COVID-19 case at one of its grocery stores in Hamilton.

An employee recently tested positive for the virus at the Sobeys location at 1770 Stone Church Rd. East in Stoney Creek.

The employee last worked on January 11th.

“We always follow the guidance of Public Health to support our teammates who are impacted by COVID-19,” said Sobeys. “Out of respect for our teammates and their confidentiality, we will never release any personal information about our people.”

The grocery store chain reported the case on January 18th.
