Saying “yes” to ENCORE paid off for Roman Gorski of Courtice, who matched the last six of seven ENCORE numbers in exact order in the August 23 DAILY GRAND draw to win $100,000.

Gorski, a 69-year-old father and grandfather, said he is a regular lottery player and has a lottery subscription on OLG.ca to ensure he never misses a draw. “I was working a night shift when I received the email from OLG after the draw,” he shared while at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to pick up his winnings. “I didn’t know how much it was at first, but knew it was a high enough that I couldn’t transfer it to my e-wallet. It was a great feeling to get news like this.”

After his shift, he went home and waited for his wife to wake up to share the great news. “She was the first person I told and didn’t believe it until I showed her the email. She was so happy.”

Gorski said he and his wife were both planning on retiring this year, so this win will go a long way. “We’ll celebrate this win with our family, and my wife and I both have birthdays coming up, so that will be a great time to treat ourselves,” he smiled.

ENCORE offers 22 ways to win and can be played in conjunction with most lottery games for an extra $1. There is an ENCORE draw every day.

The winning ticket was purchased on OLG.ca.
