Those who look forward to the Milton Film Festival can start counting down the days until its return.

The 2023 Milton Film Festival is making a comeback next month for a hybrid event that will take place both online and in theatre at the First Ontario Arts Centre Milton, located at 1050 Main St. East.

Over the course of the COVID-19 pandemic, the in-person event was temporarily put on hold and the film festival was held virtually.

However, following two successful virtual festivals, the event will be bringing back a hybrid version that will combine both in-person theatre and online streaming of films and Q&As.

“We will continue to bring the best of local, Canadian, and international films to our audience – this year as a hybrid event,” reads the event’s website.

This year, the film festival will also be celebrating its tenth anniversary, and in light of this, it is promising more features, short films and guests than ever before.

The festival will be showcasing critically acclaimed feature films from Canada and around the world as well as a selection of short films by local and regional filmmakers and hosting discussion panels.

This year’s film festival will take place from Jan. 27 to Jan. 29, 2023.
