Costco memberships now cost more in Canada

It now costs more to be a Costco member in Canada.
Annual membership fees for Gold Star, Business and Business add-on members increased as of Sept. 1 to $65, a jump of $5.
Executive memberships now cost $130 per year, up from $120. With the jump in cost, however, Costco said the maximum annual 2 per cent reward for executive members increased to $1,250 from $1,000.
The company announced the membership price hike earlier this summer and said it applies for customers in the United States and Canada.
The company said it would affect around 52 million memberships, over half of which are executive.
Costco has 882 warehouses, 609 of which are in the United States and 108 in Canada.
