Cops uncover large cache of drugs in raid on Burlington home

A raid on a home has led to drug charges against Burlington residents.

Halton Regional Police say investigators began looking into the sale of drugs in the area of Queensway Dr. and Cleta St, last month.

Then, on May 11, the department’s Street Crime Unit raided a home on Queensway Dr. and under a search warrant found the following controlled substances.

  • Approximately 22 grams of methamphetamine
  • Approximately 51 Oxycodone pills
  • Approximately 1 gram of fentanyl
  • Approximately $5000 in Canadian currency
  • Items used in the drug trade such as digital scales, packaging, needles etc.

Those arrested are all from Burlington.

Renee Hamilton, 40, is charged with:

  • Possession for the purpose of trafficking – Methamphetamine
  • Possession for the purpose of trafficking – Oxycodone
  • Possession of fentanyl

Kaylee Scrianka, 40, is charged with:

  • Possession for the purpose of trafficking – methamphetamine
  • Possession for the purpose of trafficking – Oxycodone
  • Possession of fentanyl
  • Failure to comply with a probation order

Andrew DiPaolo, 35, is charged with:

  • Possession of fentanyl

The three people arrested were released on undertakings which means they have agreed to certain conditions instead of being held for bail.
