Cops plead for information after human remains discovered in Uxbridge pond

Durham Regional Police plead for information from the public after a citizen found human remains in a “small body of water” in Uxbridge yesterday.

The citizen discovered the remains and put a call into police around 2:40 May 10. Officers went up to a rural area near Uxbridge Concession Rd 6 and Allbright Rd.

DRPS investigators brought in Forensic Services to assist them. Police have not released any details about the victim. More information will come after an autopsy.

Members of the DRPS Public Safety Unit will be on scene to search the area for evidence.
