Cops nab $56,000 in drugs, Brampton resident wanted in trafficking case

Seven people have been arrested, but police are still searching for a Brampton resident wanted in connection to a drug trafficking bust north of Peterborough.

The Kawartha Lakes OPP say officers began investigating possible drug trafficking in Kawartha Lakes after several overdoses in the area, specifically in the village of Fenelon Falls, approximately 175 kilometres northeast of Brampton.

Police say investigators seized more than $56,000 quantities of suspected cocaine, fentanyl, carfentanil, crystal methamphetamine, Percocet pills and Canadian currently.

Police have laid more than 40 charges against seven people, but investigators are still searching for three individuals wanted in connection to the investigation.

Shimon James, 28, of Brampton, Sheldon Burry, 22, of Bracebridge and Jamie Boundy, 34, of Fenelon Falls are wanted by police.

  • Trafficking a Schedule 1 substance – three counts
  • Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime – three counts
  • Conspiracy to commit an indictable offence – two counts

Annabella Jones, 21, of Lindsay has been charged with:

  • Trafficking a Schedule 1 substance
  • Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime – two counts
  • Possession of Schedule 1 drug for purpose of trafficking – two counts

Michael Currie, 24, of Pickering has been charged with:

  • Trafficking a Schedule 1 substance – two counts
  • Possession of Schedule 1 drug for purpose of trafficking – two counts
  • Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime

Stephen Whiteway, 47, of Fenelon Falls has been charged with:

  • Trafficking a Schedule 1 substance – five counts
  • Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime – two counts

Kole Terrill, 24, of Fenelon Falls has been charged with:

  • Trafficking a Schedule 1 substance – five counts
  • Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime

Logan Newman, 28, of Fenelon Falls has been charged with:
