Police are pleading for witnesses to come forward after a triple-shooting and attempted murder at a party in Mississauga this summer.

On Sunday Aug. 8, police said more than 100 people were gathered in the area of Hurontario St. and World Dr. in Mississauga for an outdoor party.

At around 8:30 p.m. that night, a firearm was drawn and at least one person at the party started shooting.

But when police arrived they found no victims at the scene as most of the party guests had scattered.

Sometime later, two women arrived at hospital with gunshot wounds and a third victim of the shooting, a male, also contacted police from another location.

Police said it’s possible a number of suspects are involved and may have fled the scene both on foot and in a vehicle headed southbound on Hurontario St.

The incident is being investigated as an attempted murder, and investigators are asking anyone who may have witnessed the shooting to contact police.

Back in August, investigators had only spoken with less than 10 people who were at the event.

Police believe party-goers may have information about the suspects, but investigators are also asking any drivers who may have been in the are at the time to come forward with any surveillance or dash cam footage which may have captured video of the incident or the suspects.

Anyone with information on the shooting or the suspects is asked to contact Peel regional Polcie at 905-453-2121 ext. 1233. You can also contact Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-TIPS(8477) or by visiting peelcrimestoppers.ca.
