Four people are in police custody–including two in hospital–and several cop cars were damaged after Peel Regional Police spotted a stolen car in Mississauga this afternoon (March 15) that was pulled over moments later in Toronto.

Police haven’t released many details of the incident, saying only that a stolen vehicle was located at about 1:30 p.m. in the Malton area of Mississauga, near the Toronto border.

While police didn’t say if a pursuit ensued, they did say that the vehicle was pulled over a short time later in the Rexwood Rd./Hwy. 27 area of Toronto and that there was “damage to cruisers.”

Police say two of the suspects were taken to hospital with injuries not considered to be life threatening.

Peel police are continuing their investigation while Toronto Police have assisted with road closures in the area.

There is no word yet on any charges laid.
