Construction equipment worth $30,000 stolen from site in Halton Hills

Halton police have confirmed that a construction site in Halton Hills was recently robbed of $30,000 dollars worth of equipment along with being vandalized.

Constable Ryan Anderson, Halton police’s Media Relations Officer, told insauga.com that police were contacted about the theft as well as property damage at a construction site on Winston Churchill Blvd. in Halton Hills.

Anderson confirmed that the incident took place sometime between Mar. 31 and Apr. 2 and that a skid steer, which had an estimated value of $30,000, was stolen from the site.

Damage was also done to an onsite portable office trailer where wall panels were damaged and electrical wiring and fixtures were ripped out, according to Anderson.

No employees were present at the time of the theft and no arrests have been made.

There are currently no suspect descriptions available.
