Durham Regional Police Services gets a new chief tomorrow when Connor Frigan takes over the job.

For the day, anyway.

Connor, a student at Charles Bowman Public School in Bowmanville who said he wants to be a K9 Officer one day, won the annual Chief-For-A-Day contest and will fulfill his duties Tuesday.

His day will begin in the morning with the Change of Command Oath of Office at Regional Headquarters in Whitby. Following the reading of his winning essay at the virtual Police Services Board Meeting, Chief FRIGAN will visit the Traffic Services Branch, tour Forensic Investigative Services, and watch demonstrations on Use of Force and the DRPS K-9 unit.

His day will conclude with a trip on AIR1, from the Oshawa Executive Airport.
