A community clean-up event for Earth Day will be hosted soon in Mississauga.

The event, which will take place on Apr. 22, is being run by the Toronto Region Conservation Authority and CreativeHub 1352, a not-for-profit organization that organizes programs and events at the Small Arms Inspection Building (SAIB).

The community clean-up will take place from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and aims to be an opportunity for community members to get outside and clean up the natural lands on Earth Day.

Prior to the clean-up, the Riverwood Conservancy will also be hosting a free birding workshop from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.

Upon arrival, participants will be required to register at the tent at the southeast end of the parking lot. Organizers will then direct participants where they need to go.

“Join Toronto Region Conservation Authority and CreativeHub 1352 at the Small Arms Inspection Building to clean up the Arsenal Lands on Saturday, April 22nd from 10am to 12pm,” reads CreativeHub 1352’s website.

“With winter over, this is a great time to get outside with friends, family and community members and clean up our natural lands on Earth Day!”

While the event is free, those who are interested are encouraged to register in advance as space is limited.
