A community builder, strategist and marketing maestro is the new CEO of the Greater Oshawa Chamber of Commerce.

Jason King, who started his marketing career in 1996 when he founded Alcatraz Skate & Snow in Oshawa by “bootstrapping” his income tax return into a seven-figure business with three locations, will take over September 7 from Nancy Shaw, who is retiring.

Shaw served as CEO for nearly six years.

King went on to serve as Director of Growth Marketing with incentive company 360insights before becoming a ‘Strategist-at-Large’ with WFL Solutions Group.

King said community building has always been “at the heart of my work” and said he was anxious to get started on the job at the Chamber.

“I look forward to working with the Chamber team and Board to take up the vision of further modernizing how we serve our members and the community.”
