Ventriloquist Mark Crocker and his friends will be part of the fun at this Komedy For Kidneys show at Greg Frewin Theatre on April 6.

There will be a lot of laughter for a serious fundraiser when this year’s Komedy for Kidneys Rodney Pentland Memorial Benefit Show returns for the second year in a row at the Greg Frewin Theatre in Niagara Falls.

With Mark Matthews hosting the comedy night on April 6, the show is named in memory of Niagara Falls comedian Pentland who died from complications from kidney disease nearly 15 years ago. All of the money raised will go to Niagara Health’s efforts to treat people living with kidney disease.

The show returned last year, raising $17,000, after being a no-go in 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In fact, the Komedy for Kidneys event in 2020 was the last event to take place at the Greg Frewin Theatre just before the pandemic shut the venue down.

This year, the comedians include Mike Bullard, ventriloquist Mark Crocker, Judy Croon, Brandy Ford, Paul Haywood, as well as host Matthews.

So far, Komedy for Kidneys have raised more than $125,000 for dialysis treatment care in Niagara Region.

Ticket prices for the event start at $25 and are available by calling 905-356-0777 or going online HERE. The Greg Frewin Theatre is located at 5781 Ellen Ave and the show starts at 8 p.m. with doors open at 7 p.m.

Here’s a taste at some of the laughs comedian Judy Croon will be bringing that night.
