Collisions in Burlington, Niagara Falls block lanes on QEW highway

Travel times on Queen Elizabeth Way were likely to be lengthened after a pair of collisions during rush hour on Tuesday (July 27).
The Ontario Ministry of Transportation reported two incidents on the Fort Erie-bound side of the major highway. In Niagara Falls, the two right lanes and shoulder were blocked due to a collision.
Meantime, in Burlington, three right lanes and the shoulder were blocked due to a collision.

UPDATE: After roughly one hour, the lanes in Burlington were reopened.

The lanes near Lundy’s Lane in Niagara Falls reopened at around 7:30 p.m., about 2 ½ hours after the collision.
