Collision with tree claims life of man in Niagara-on-the-Lake

A male driver is dead after a single-vehicle collision with a tree early Wednesday morning (June 5) in the town of Niagara-on-the-Lake.
Niagara Regional Police arrived at the scene of the serious crash at approximately 5:05 a.m. in the area of Lakeshore Road and Four Mile Creek Road.
The Niagara-on-the-Lake Fire Department, Niagara Emergency Medical Services and police arrived on the scene to find an adult male suffering from life threatening injuries.
The male drive was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.
An investigation into the collision discovered the male was operating a grey Audi westbound on Lakeshore Road when it hit a tree located on the right side of the roadway.
The Collision Reconstruction Unit have taken over the Investigation.
