Collision in north Pickering sends man to Toronto hospital in serious condition

A man has been transported to a Toronto trauma centre in serious but stable condition after a collision on Altona Road in north Pickering today.

No other details on the accident have been released but Durham Police are advising that the road, between Taunton Road and Third Concession, will be closed for “an extended period of time” during the investigation and drivers are being asked to avoid the area.
