Collision in Mississauga may have involved driver of stolen car

Police in Mississauga have released a preliminary description of a suspect who was involved in a crash while driving a car that was possibly stolen.
Peel Regional Police say that a multi-vehicle collision occurred in the area of Battlefield Road and Montevideo Road late on Friday afternoon (Sept. 3). The force of the collision sent one car on to the sidewalk. The driver fled on foot. It is believed that the vehicle was stolen.
The suspect is described as a white man who is wearing a dark blue shirt, blue jeans, brown shoes and a hat.
The suspect may have also been involved in a collision at the Erin Mills Town Centre, where they failed to remain at the scene of collision. Failing to remain at the scene of a collision is an offence under the provincial Highway Traffic Act.
