Cocaine seized in traffic stop, 2 Mississauga teens face charges

Two Mississauga teens face charges after a traffic stop netted a large quantity of suspected cocaine along with cash and drug paraphernalia.

Police officers stopped a vehicle in connection with an ongoing drug trafficking investigation on Highway 417 in Ottawa just after 8:30 p.m. on June 21, Renfrew OPP said in a press release.

The large quantity of suspected cocaine was seized along with Canadian currency and other drug paraphernalia, police said.

Tabatha Hamilton, 47, from Pembroke, Blake Correia, 18, from Mississauga and a 17-year-old from Mississauga were arrested and charged with the following:

  • Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking (Cocaine) – two counts
  • Possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000
  • Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5,000

All three accused were held for a bail hearing.
