A Toronto sweets shop just recently posted an emotional video letting people know that they were unable to come to an agreement with their landlord, and suddenly had to move out.

Oishiii Sweets is a super cute bakery in Toronto known for their macarons, cookies, cakes, and the bakery even makes wedding cakes and dog cakes. The secret to the shop’s success is the decorations: Oishiii Sweets sells super cute macarons and baked goods with designs of beloved cartoon characters and other whimsical decorations that have gone viral.

The bakery took to social media to let everyone know about the unfortunate situation at the current shop.

“This isn’t goodbye for good but will see you soon,” reads a post from Oishiii Sweets on social media.

“Thank you to our amazing community and customers. It has been an amazing 6 years at this location with what we called home. I know we will come back stronger and better. I hope to see everybody soon.”

The post has close to 700 likes and over 100 comments on Instagram from people who are dismayed to hear about what’s happening to Oishiii Sweets. A couple people said they were just at the shop for some of the events they regularly threw and can’t believe the news.

“Oh my god!!! Nooo! Is there anything we can do for you?” one person wrote in a passionate comment. “This is so hard, I can see how hard it is breaking the news to us while also having to still plan ahead for fulfilling orders and next steps. This sucks!!! I’ll miss you and I’m wondering if there’s something we can do!”

“This is extremely heartbreaking,” another person commented. “I have been getting your cakes for all my friends birthdays in the last few years. I really hope you can find a new forever home soon!”

“I’m so sorry to hear this. That sucks so much,” someone else said. “Oishiii Sweets is such a neighbourhood gem and I can’t name another bakery cafe I go to more often than yours.”

“This is frustrating to hear,” another commenter wrote. “I hope the landlord gets the karma they deserve. That place was empty and lifeless before your business came thru and I hope it stays empty forever.”

“Sad that the landlord is being such a prick,” someone else added. “I hope that unit stays empty for years and the landlord bleeds money.”

The last day for Oishiii Sweets at their current location is April 30.
