CLOSURE: Transport truck crash snarls traffic on QEW in Ontario

Update: Just after 1 p.m., the OPP said the truck had been removed from the highway and all lanes reopened.

Police said the crash involved two vehicles and there were no injuries.

A tractor-trailer crash blocked Toronto-bound lanes of the QEW in Oakville on Friday morning.

The transport went into a ditch and the trailer was blocking the three right lanes as of 10:30 a.m., the Ontario Provincial Police said on X.

Ministry of Transportation cameras show emergency crews on the scene and only the HOV lane was getting through at 11 a.m.

“Extensive delays expected through the area,” the OPP said.
