A sandwich chain restaurant has permanently closed a location in Mississauga.

The Streetsville location of Meltwich Food Co. has permanently closed.

A sign in the door of the shop at 154 Queen St. S. says the location has permanently closed and it is also marked as closed on Google.

The phone number for the shop has been disconnected and the location has been removed from the Meltwich Food Co. website.

The restaurant is known for its grilled cheese sandwiches, tuna melts, Philly steaks, burgers and poutines.

They also have wraps, salads, milkshakes and mac-n-cheese bites.

There was no information on why the shop had closed. Up until a few weeks ago, they received good reviews.

“I’ve been coming here for a while now and it’s one of my favourite spots to get a delicious vegan burger!” one customer wrote on Google Reviews last month.

“Amazing food, service and is very yum!!!” another person wrote.

Those who miss Meltwich Food Co. can find two other locations in Mississauga. There is one near Square One Shopping Centre at 565 Curran Place, and another in Port Credit at 50 Lakeshore Rd. E.
