A Mississauga restaurant has been forced to close down after failing a recent health inspection.

Riyasat Indian Restaurant, located at 325 Central Pkwy W Unit 10, was inspected and shut down on Monday, Nov. 6.

Peel Public Health’s inspection report states that the restaurant did not properly store food to prevent contamination or adulteration, posing a significant health risk.

The report also alleges that utensils were not properly washed and sanitized, and an adequate number of accessible handwashing stations was not provided, among other infractions.
