Brampton chain restaurant closes

The Brampton location of Lone Star Texas Grill has permanently closed.

Lone Star CEO Mark Findlay confirmed to INsauga in an email that the location on West Drive, near Highway 410 and Queen Street East, shut down as of Aug. 18, ahead of the end of the lease term on Sept. 1.

“We were fortunate enough to relocate 99 per cent of our staff to other locations and will continue to look for viable sites to re-enter the Brampton/Mississauga area with our recently re-imagined Lone Star Cantina (recently opened in Whitby),” Findlay said.

Peel Region now doesn’t have any Lone Star Texas Grill locations, but there are some nearby, with spots in Milton, Oakville and Etobicoke.

There are currently 20 Lone Star Texas Grill locations in Ontario, and one Lone Star Cantina.

Lone Star opened its first location in Ottawa in 1986 before expanding throughout southern Ontario.
