A ramen restaurant that’s been through it over the past years in Hamilton has taken to social media to let people know that the end of this current chapter is coming to a close.

Mystic Ramen is a Hamilton restaurant that’s not only known for its ramen, but also all the struggles it’s been through in the recent past.

The restaurant made a long and emotional post on social media detailing everything the business has been through.

“Friends, if we’ve seen you and didn’t tell you in person, please forgive us. We’re raw and tender,” reads the heartbreaking post.

“Thank you for everything. We love you. This is not goodbye, but see you again soon.”

The post has racked up over 2,000 likes and 200 comments on Instagram within about a day, with people reaching out to say how sorry they are about the circumstances, with many people shouting out how much their kids love Mystic Ramen, and one person even thanking the restaurant for being part of their wedding.

“So grateful we got to have you as a part of our wedding, we’ll cherish that memory forever,” one person said.

“I am utterly heartbroken and sobbed when I read this,” another person wrote.

“Everything on your menu was always exceptional but it was also the team and community you built inside those walls. In a time when the world around was descending into chaos and anger you created a place where everyone felt like we belonged,” someone wrote. “Drag brunch was always a joy to be at as were the Women in Bar series of dinners. Thank you for creating a safe place for everyone to come and enjoy the best ramen with some of the best people.”

“We’re so deeply saddened to hear about this. The moment our family discovered Mystic Ramen, it became the go-to for whenever the kids wanted to eat out of the house,” another person wrote in a comment. “It became an (at least) twice per month destination for us. The kids will be so heartbroken to hear this because they were treated like family, like adults there.”

“Sorry to hear this, it’s been our favourite place to bring the kids since they were old enough to eat ‘slurpy soup,’” wrote someone else in a comment on Instagram.

Mystic Ramen’s post says that the restaurant should remain open until July, but it could possibly close sooner.
