CLOSURE: Pub shutting down after more than a decade in Toronto

A pub will soon be shutting down after more than a decade in Toronto.

Prenup Pub, located at 191 College Street near the University of Toronto, made the announcement in a post on social media.

“We are saddened to announce that Prenup Pub will be closing its doors on Feb. 8, 2026,” it said.

The pub first opened in 2014.

A reason for the closure wasn’t given.

But the post said there is a new location where patrons can go.

“As every ending brings a new beginning, we are happy to share that all your events and celebrations can now find a new home at Blessing in Disguise, our newest sister location,” it said.

Blessing in Disguise is located at 150 John Street, near Richmond Street West.

“Everything you loved about Prenup Pub lives on at Blessing in Disguise,” the post said.

That includes 45 European draught beers, Mediterranean cuisine, and “cozy pub vibes.”

The post also highlighted other sister locations, including Sin & Redemption, Town Crier Pub, Make Ends Meer, and Village Idiot Pub.

“Thank you for being part of our Prenup Pub family,” it said.
