A favourite downtown Oakville dinner spot has closed its doors for good.

Seasons Restaurant, located in the historic downtown “Anderson Block,” is no more after 20 years of being one of Oakville’s finest dining establishments.

An elegant and warm atmosphere was only surpassed by an impressive wine list and a variety of creative culinary.

From PEI steamed muscles, Seafood Cioppino and Grilled Veal chop to Roasted Berkshire Pork Lamb, Seared Cobia Fillet and Beef Bresola and White Truffles, Seasons offered up something for everyone.

Over the years, it also proved a popular spot for celebrations and milestones.

“I was so impressed with my husband’s 60th birthday celebration at Seasons restaurant,” offered up Melinda D in an online review after a stop there this April. “The upper level was the perfect spot for a gathering of family and friends, where we started with a cocktail reception and then dined in the adjoining room.

“The food was amazing, all of our guests commented on how delicious their meals were and the service was top-notch. A big thank you to Ashley, George and the wonderful staff at Seasons for making our evening so special. I highly recommend Seasons restaurant.”

Food lovers won’t be disappointed as there’s another restaurant that has moved into the 134 Lakeshore Rd. E. location.

Ce Soir Brasserie & Bar is soon to open with new owners and a new menu, but the popular facade remains out front.

The new eatery will offer a modern take on classic French cuisine.

“Experience fine wines, the freshest seafood, the finest steaks and genuine service,” said Ce Soir on its website.

The menu includes USDA Prime steaks, fresh seafood options, bespoke cocktails, premium beers and an extensive selection of world-class wines.
